Periosteal chondrosarcoma of the rib: a case report

Periosteal chondrosarcomas, also known as juxtacortical are a rare subtype of chondrosarcoma. They usually present with pain and swelling over the affected site, most often arising in appendicular skeleton, metaphysis distal femur humerus common sites. In this poster we case report periosteal chondrosarcoma on internal surface right 8th rib, making an unusual site for such tumour. chondrosarcomas differ macroscopically from differential diagnosis chondroma both size, greater than 5cm, by showing invasion into adjacent bone or surrounding soft tissue.
